The backlash to compromise is confusing and amazing at the same time.

“A resolution to this issue cannot only cover ‘religious’ employers,” Pavone said. “Religious freedom, which includes freedom of conscience, does not belong only to religious entities but to every American. There are many non-religious reasons to object to the Administration’s policy.”

Now granted that is from the director of an organization called “Priests for life”, but the implication, if that is going to be the message being pressed, is both hilarious and horrifying in turn. I pray that it doesn’t take root in the larger conversation.

Edit: Added bonus hilarity in the scorn of free birth control for a man who has vowed to never be sexually active and will never need birth control to regulate non-sexual health issues in his body. Strains the brain to think of that amount of hubris.
