Just calling it like I see it. It’s noble and inherently American to spit in the face of the evil-doer with all the power. It just doesn’t win for you in the short term.
The good thing is that actions like this actually will come back to bite the Michigan republicans right in the ass come the next elections. This wild flail for power by gaming the system is the last gasp of a dying conservative party. They have absolute power (in many states), probably for the last time for a decade or two, if ever. Old White America is on the ropes and we all know it to be a GREAT thing. Their mode of thinking has been outgrown, and they are throwing the most painful punches that they can. This blows, but those asshole are doomed, and in the meantime those that are clearly right need to not get dragged down by the sinking ship.
